(More customer reviews)We purchased this toaster because it was the only one we could find (after a very diligent search) that was both our desired colors (stainless steel or black or a combination of the two) and short enough (just under 7 1/2 inches tall)to slide under a freestanding shelf that we have on the counter of our small Brooklyn kitchen to maximize the space. It has several helpful functions, including a blue-lit digital countdown, a bagel setting and cancel and reheat buttons. All of the features work perfectly. One caveat----the sides of the toaster do get quite hot while it is operating, which is fine for us but might be a concern for those families that allow very young children to run the toaster. Otherwise, from a design point of view, the only thing that perhaps could be improved would be to have the crumb tray slide out from the front instead of the rear end of the toaster. Overall, we're very happy with our handsome and functional Toastess TT-321 Silhouette.
